Relining Your Damaged Pipes

Pipe relining is a process of repairing damaged or worn-out pipes without the need for excavation or replacement. This method is a popular alternative to traditional pipe repair methods, which involve excavation and replacement of the damaged pipe. This can be time-consuming and costly, as it may require digging up and replacing large sections of the affected area.

At Burgos Plumbing, we offer trenchless pipe relining, using the latest technology to repair pipes without the need for digging up or replacing them. We can repair various types of pipes, including those made of PVC, clay, cast iron and concrete. Pipe relining is a suitable method for repairing pipes that have cracks, leaks, root intrusion or other forms of damage. The process is generally quick and non-invasive, and it can be completed in a matter of hours or days, depending on the extent of the damage.

The Pipe Relining Process

A typical pipe relining process includes:

  • Inspecting the pipe using a camera to determine the extent of the damage and locate any blockages.
  • Cleaning the damaged pipe using water jetting to remove debris and prepare the surface for lining.
  • A flexible liner, such as epoxy resin, is measured and cut to the appropriate length and diameter for the damaged pipe.
  • The liner material is coated with a special resin that hardens when exposed to air or heat and is inserted into the pipe. It's then inflated with air or water, pressing the material against the pipe’s inner wall.
  • The resin is allowed to cure for several hours, forming a new, durable pipe within the existing damaged pipe.
  • A camera is used to inspect the new pipe lining to ensure it's free from defects and has adhered properly to the inner walls of the pipe.
  • Any connections or junctions in the pipe will be re-opened and tested to ensure proper flow.
